We are Ghost Busters in the “Don’t Be A Ghost” Event
This is our fun attempt to be Ghost Busters. In case you don’t quite get it, any social media profile picture that does not have a picture but a white/grayish person outline is called a ghost profile picture. Thus the Don’t be a Ghost Event with us being the Ghost Busters.
The event is to create amazing images of women for their social media use, but this time everyone will be keeping their clothes on, which I know is a little odd for us. It is a fundraiser for an incredible service charity: Making Changes Assoc.Usually you will find us at the silent auction table of most charity events raising money for women’s causes. Emily is the face you will see there. She helps with setup or takedown at the events plus she sells as many of our sessions as she can at the auction table. Emily has helped raise a few thousand dollars in session sales this way.
This time though, it’s our event in support of Making Changes. At the end of the blog you will see the full details of the event. Essentially, you will come to the event, pay for the session, get a $75 tax receipt then come back to our pop up studio in the My Friend’s Closet unit. We do makeup touchups before getting you in front of my camera. We will do several head and shoulder poses that you can choose from.
You can use your images on all your social media profile pages; the files will even be good for business cards. They will be fully enhanced so you will look amazing.
Now, we are all about creating breathtaking images that bolster self-confidence, enrich self-esteem and generally embolden women. Making Changes also does this in a unique niche. They are focused on women getting back into the work place who might not have the perfect attire to make that critical first impression in an interview. They have the Walk-In Closet, the Employment and Life Skills Program and the new My Best Friend’s Closet for teenage girls. You can find full details on their programs below and see how you can get involved with this incredible organization.
Their website will give you the full perspective of what they do, http://makingchangesassociation.ca.
Oh, you don’t have be Ghost Profile person to come in; you can use this event to update your current photo. Please tell everyone you know. We have a Facebook event page for it, https://www.facebook.com/events/1540389432841696/
Hope to see you at the Don’t be a Ghost Event!
